As a travel specialist focused on East and Central Africa, our primary safety role is the diligent selection and monitoring of third-party providers (transport, accommodation, and local guides).

2. Responsibilities

As the sole Director, Jason Smith is responsible for:

• Assessing risks associated with office-based work and international travel.

• Ensuring all third-party suppliers (e.g., truck charters) meet local safety standards and insurance requirements.

• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of FCDO (Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office) travel advice.

3. Risk Management & Arrangements

A. Supplier Due Diligence (The "Golden Rule")

Since Senirol Ltd often acts as an intermediary or organiser, safety is managed by:

• Verifying that all chartered trucks are regularly maintained and drivers are appropriately licensed.

• Ensuring local partners have adequate public liability insurance.

• Conducting periodic site visits or audits of key accommodations and routes.

B. Remote Working & Travel

• Physical Safety: Maintaining awareness of local political climates and health risks (e.g., malaria, yellow fever) via the FCDO.

• Communication: Ensuring a robust communication plan is in place when travelling in remote areas (satellite phones or local SIMs).

• Emergency Planning: Maintaining a "Crisis Management Plan" for clients, including evacuation procedures and 24/7 emergency contact details.

C. Office & Digital Health (UK-Based)

• DSE (Display Screen Equipment): Ensuring the workstation setup (laptop/iPad) is ergonomic to prevent repetitive strain or eye fatigue.

• Mental Wellbeing: Acknowledging the pressures of solo-running a business and managing long-haul travel schedules.
